Préparation

Mandalas symbolize the individual voyage that we take in order to renew with our true essence. It is a voyage within, toward our heart, a voyage which opens the highway to our soul and to the understanding of our mission here on earth.
Who are we really?

Mandalas are tools to help us in our quest to renew with our pure original essence.
For all of you who are using Mandalas for the first time, I suggest for you a ritual to prepare you in getting the most out of this exercise. Of course it is only a suggestion and I always recommend that you follow your heart.

During all the mandala workshops that I facilitated I helped the participant prepare for the experience in this fashion:

  • You may take a few full breaths slowly, and then anchor yourself fully through your central pillar of light down to the heart of mother earth.

  • You may then concentrate your attention into your heart or the general area. With another breath open your heart a little more.

  • You may then ask your higher self, your guides and angels for help and inspiration.

  • Next you formulate your intention for this exercise, it may be to manifesting something, releasing, healing, whatever you wish. (I would recommend concentrating on one intention per mandala.)

  • The last step is to bless the tools you are using, the space you are in, and the process itself.

To me this ritual is sacred, and I like to create a sacred space for myself and the process. Afterword the mandala becomes the visual reminder of the intention you are working on till completion.

You may use coloring pencils, any paint media or a paint program of your choice on the computer. It is your choice.
Happy ritual.
